Throughout the year there are exciting fun filled annual festivals and events held in Newcastle Emlyn that will appeal to everyone.

Such as the Arts & Crafts Festival, the spectacular Fireworks display in the Castle Grounds and Victorian Evening and Christmas Shopping.

There are also exhibitions and craft fairs held in Neuadd Cawdor Hall. There is something for everyone to enjoy and have a great visit to Newcastle Emlyn. The Neuadd Cawdor Hall Facebook pages both contain details on current events and exhibitions being held in Newcastle Emlyn.

Newcastle Emlyn has its own football and rugby teams, a bowls club, tennis courts as well as a leisure centre and swimming pool located on the outskirts of the town. Please go to our sports page for further details.

There are also exhibitions and craft fairs held in Neuadd Cawdor Hall. There is something for everyone to enjoy and have a great visit to Newcastle Emlyn.

Visitors can also enjoy a visit to the 13th century castle ruins. The castle entrance is at the end of Castle Street, a very short stroll from Neuadd Cawdor Hall.

The site is open and there is a lovely circular riverside walk along the banks of the river Teifi and around the castle. It is a good path with picnic tables near the river following the river’s meander around the ruins, which can also be wandered through.There are information boards in the castle car park at the entrance. Some sections are not easily wheelchair accessible.

Another riverside walk along the River Teifi can be taken from the Plonevez Porzay Gardens at the top of New Road down to the Holy Trinity Church.

For younger visitors, the King George V Playing Fields situated at the end of Church Lane provide an excellent children’s playground and plenty of space to run around.

A fun way for a family with children to explore Newcastle Emlyn is to use the self-guided circular treasure trail which is approximately two miles long and which can be obtained here.

Newcastle Emlyn is home to the Attic Players, an amateur group committed to producing the highest quality live entertainment and productions. The Attic Players Theatre is situated in Neuadd Cawdor Hall in the centre of Newcastle Emlyn. Details of their upcoming productions can be found on their website.
